Hybrid solution
Several of our customers have chosen to take a hybrid solution by combining the migration to Casegen Enterprise (CE) with the installation of replacement run-time modules.
In this case the Telon generated applications have been relinked using the replacement run-time modules and all relevant information has been exported from the TDF. This has allowed the Telon licences to be cancelled immediately. When modifications are required the applications are imported to CE and the maintenance is carried out there. This means that the testing for the modifications can be combined with the testing of the migration to CE.
This hybrid approach has several advantages:
- Immediate cancellation of Telon licence
- Minimises migration testing
- Only migrate applications which need maintenance
