Casegen is an application generator. Similar to Telon, although it runs on a PC and could be regarded as the next step forward for Telon sites. It can import Telon programs automatically converting them to Casegen. The programs generated are to a higher standard, although all the custom code is still retained and the program provides exactly the same functionality.

The payback period for switching to Casegen could be as little as one year, plus all the productivity benefits associated to moving to the PC environment. The Casegen products provide the capability of converting CA-Telon programs (macros) to their functionally equivalent Casegen program, either on line or as a batch job, to 100% compatibility. The resulting program will be of a higher quality and will be easier to maintain.

The Casegen Import process also provides the potential for further conversion of the CA-Telon program to allow change from VS/COBOL to COBOL/370 or other COBOL compilers.
